There are a number of Proof of Delivery (POD) applications available which utilise a wide variety of mobile computer devices. These POD applications also boast 1D and 2D barcode scanning, GPS positioning information, time and date of delivery and transmission of data over wide area network using GPRS. They allow signature capture by signing on the screen or through image capture (using an integrated camera in the rugged mobile computer).
