Direct Thermal Tags
Unique ID's direct thermal tags offer excellent print quality and are best suited for indoor applications with moderate temperatures. Direct thermal tags are available in either paper or synthetic formats. Paper is an inexpensive solution that can be used in a multitude of general-purpose applications, while synthetic offers durable, long lasting results with resistance to abrasion, moisture, tearing, and chemicals. Direct thermal technology does not require a ribbon. Instead, a chemically coated heat-sensitive material produces images as heat is applied to the surface. Ideal for indoor applications where temperatures will not exceed high levels.
Thermal Transfer Tags
Unique ID's thermal transfer tags offer excellent print quality and are formulated to withstand harsh environments. Thermal transfer tags are available in either paper or synthetic formats. Paper is an inexpensive solution that can be used in a multitude of general-purpose applications, while synthetic offers durable, long lasting results with resistance to abrasion, moisture, tearing, and chemicals. Thermal transfer technology utilises a ribbon and matching tags or labels to transfer an image onto the material. For the best solution with long life requirements or harsh environments, use with a Unique ID recommended ribbon.
